*Note on Service Animals: A recognized Service Dog is one that has been trained to perform (a) specific task(s) to assist a person with a disability. This definition does not cover or include “comfort,” “stress” or “anxiety” animals whose sole purpose is to be present with their owner. On our tours, a recognized Service Dog is an animal that is certified by a government-licensed Service Dog trainer or trainer that meets the qualifications and standards of Assistance Dogs International or Guide Dog Federation.

Important Note: Our land tours are conducted on standard touring motorcoaches that are not equipped with hydraulic lifts or ramps. Guests cannot remain in their wheelchairs during travel. All mobility equipment must be folded and stored in the luggage compartment underneath the bus. Due to strict weight and space limits, we can only accept manual, folding wheelchairs or collapsible walkers weighing under 50 lbs (22 kg). Our vehicles cannot transport heavy electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

You are solely responsible for accurately reporting any mobility limitations or medical equipment requirements at the time your reservation is made. Canada Rail Vacations Inc. (operating as Alberta Blue Sky Tours) and its independent suppliers will make reasonable, lawful attempts to accommodate disclosed requirements, but strictly within the physical and structural limitations of transport fleet.

Please be advised that land tours are conducted using standard touring motorcoaches which are not equipped with hydraulic lifts, ramps, or specialized low-floor boarding systems. Passengers must be physically capable of independently (or with the sole assistance of a personal travel companion) climbing 3 to 4 high steps to enter and exit the vehicle, and must be able to sit in a standard coach passenger seat.

Drivers, tour guides, and staff are strictly and legally prohibited from lifting, carrying, or physically pulling guests onto or off the vehicles, or providing individual personal assistance. Canada Rail Vacations Inc. and its suppliers strongly require a qualified, physically able companion to accompany any guest who needs physical assistance.

Mobility Device Restrictions: We can only transport standard, manual, completely collapsible/folding wheelchairs or walkers weighing under 50 lbs (22 kg) that can be safely stored in the luggage bays underneath the bus. Vehicles cannot accommodate or transport heavy electric wheelchairs, power chairs, or motorized mobility scooters.

Not all tour locations, hotels, or sightseeing stops are fully accessible. Many activities require extensive standing, walking, or navigating unpaved, steep, or uneven surfaces. Canada Rail Vacations Inc. (operating as Alberta Blue Sky Tours) and its suppliers are not responsible for any missed activities, denial of services by third-party vendors, or inability to participate due to a guest's physical limitations.

Boarding Refusal Policy: If a guest arrives for a tour and is physically unable to safely board the motorcoach in accordance with these guidelines, or possesses non-compliant mobility equipment, Canada Rail Vacations Inc. reserves the right to deny boarding for safety and operational reasons. In such events, the company is not liable for any alternative transportation costs, and no refunds will be issued.
