Banff Weekend Getaway from Calgary
Day 1
Arrival in Calgary & Transfer to Banff
Once you arrive in Calgary, you will be transferred by motorcoach to Banff. Transfers are available from the airport or downtown every few hours, and take approximately 2 hours to reach Banff. On this scenic transfer, you’ll enjoy views of the mountains as you leave the Canadian Prairies behind.
Depending on how early your flight arrival is, the rest of the day is yours to explore Banff at your leisure. This charming little mountain town is home to lots of different dining options, walking trails, and the Banff Upper Hot Springs, an outdoor hot pool with a great view of Mount Rundle.
Your hotel in Banff for the next two nights is included.
For those who wish to arrive a day before to explore Calgary, please let us know, and we can include an additional night in your package at a partner hotel that has the transfer service to Banff available.
Day 2
Half-Day Tour: Banff Highlights & Banff Gondola
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for a half-day sightseeing tour of the town of Banff and its surrounding highlights. Visit Surprise Corner for the best views of the Fairmont Banff Springs, otherwise known as “The Castle in the Rockies”. See the towering mountains, including Rundle, Tunnel, Cascade, and Norquay. Learn about the wind-shaped hoodoos, see Bow Falls, and experience a scenic drive along Tunnel Mountain Drive.
The highlight of today’s tour is a gentle ride on the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain for fantastic views of the Bow Valley, interpretive boardwalks, and endless photo opportunities.

Day 3
Full-Day Tour: Banff & Lake Louise*
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning for a full-day sightseeing tour of the area between Banff and Lake Louise. During this tour, you will travel along the Alberta and BC border, cross the Continental Divide, and explore more sights within Banff National Park and Yoho National Park.
From May to October, the tour will focus on the many mountain lakes and waterfalls in the area, which include key locations such as Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Emerald Lake or Takakkaw Falls.
Spend the next two nights in a hotel in the Lake Louise village, or upgrade to the iconic Fairmont Château Lake Louise.
*From December to March, this tour is replaced with a scenic transfer to Lake Louise.
Day 4
Free Day in Lake Louise
Enjoy a free day in Lake Louise surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Banff National Park. Relax at the iconic Fairmont Château Lake Louise, stroll along the lakeshore, or take in panoramic mountain views from nearby walking trails. Optional activities such as canoe rentals, guided hikes, horseback riding, and spa experiences are also available for guests wishing to further explore the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
Day 5
Departure from Lake Louise / Calgary
You will be transferred by motorcoach from Lake Louise to Calgary. Transfers are available multiple times per day to either the Calgary International Airport (YYC) or downtown Calgary, and take approximately 4 hours. On this scenic transfer, you’ll enjoy views of the mountains as you leave the Rockies behind and return to the Canadian Prairies.
For those who wish to extend their stay to explore Calgary, please let us know, and we can include an additional night in your package at a partner hotel.
