From Calgary to Drumheller and Banff. This 5-day, 4-night sightseeing tour will take you to the must-see locations on either side of Calgary. Travel east to see Drumheller and Alberta’s Badlands, and west to the Rocky Mountains where you will see the very best of the Canadian Rockies’ most popular mountain town.

Day 1:
Arrival in Calgary and City Highlights Tour
To start your vacation, your private tour guide for the next four days will pick you up from the location of your choice within Calgary whether it is the Calgary Airport, downtown, or the surrounding area. For those who are arriving on a flight, your guide will meet you in the arrivals section of the airport.
Depending on the time that you arrive in Calgary, your guide would be happy to include a Calgary City Highlights Tour before dropping you off at your Calgary hotel.
Your hotel in Calgary for the next two nights is included.
Day 2:
Full-Day Private Tour: Calgary to Drumheller and Canadian Badlands Tour
Today, your guide will pick you up from your Calgary hotel in the morning for a full sightseeing tour out to Drumheller and the Badlands. From Calgary, you’ll experience the changing landscape, from prairie to rugged rock, on this 1.5 hour drive to Drumheller and Midland Provincial Park. Points of interest include the Royal Tyrell Museum, Drumheller Hoodoos, Horsethief Canyon, Atlas Coal Mine, Orkney Viewpoint, and Midland Provincial Park.
Upon completion of the tour, your guide will drop you off at your Calgary hotel.

Day 3:
Full-Day Private Tour: Banff Highlights and Banff Gondola from Calgary
Today, your guide will pick you up from your Calgary hotel in the morning for a full sightseeing tour of the town of Banff and its surrounding highlights. Following the 1.5-hour drive, visit Surprise Corner for the best views of Fairmont Banff Springs hotel, otherwise known as “The Castle in the Rockies”. See the towering mountains including Rundle, Tunnel, Cascade, and Norquay. Learn about the wind-shaped hoodoos, see Bow Falls, and experience a scenic drive along Tunnel Mountain Drive.
The highlight of today’s tour is a gentle ride on the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain for fantastic views of the Bow Valley, interpretive boardwalks, and endless photo opportunities.
Upon completion of the tour, your guide will drop you off at your Banff hotel.

Day 4:
Full-Day Private Tour: Banff to Lake Louise Sightseeing Tour
Today, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning for a full-day sightseeing tour of the area between Banff and Lake Louise. During this tour, you will travel along the Alberta and BC border, cross the Continental Divide, and explore more sights within Banff National Park and Yoho National Park.
From May to October, the tour will focus on the many mountain lakes, and waterfalls in the area which include key locations such as Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, and Takakkaw Falls.
From December to March, the lakes will be frozen over and some of the mountain roads will be closed meaning that Moraine Lake and Takakkaw Falls are not accessible, however, there is still plenty to do and see! There are some great, optional, Canadian winter activities that can be included on this day. Let us know your preference for the following activities in advance of your trip:
- Ice Skating on Lake Louise
- Horsedrawn Sleigh Ride at Lake Louise
- Dogsledding in Banff National Park
- Snowshoeing or Cross-Country Skiing at Emerald Lake

Day 5:
Departure from Banff/Calgary
Today, your guide will pick you up from your Banff hotel for the transfer to Calgary or Calgary Airport. The pickup time for today is flexible if you would like to have some free time to explore Banff on your own, or if you need to leave bright and early to catch a flight.
*Flights after 12 PM are strongly recommended in order to allow for 2 hours to drive from Banff to Calgary, and 3 hours for check-in to international flights.
Your vacation concludes upon drop-off in Calgary.
